Collections

Explore the growing collections within the Djaa Universe, featuring cultural resources, artefacts, stories, videos, artworks, bush tucker knowledge, animals, maps, and important learning content connected to Kabi Kabi Country. The Collections section allows students and educators to discover and revisit cultural knowledge gathered throughout the Djaa learning journey.

Inside the Teachers Dashboard, educators can access expanded cultural information, classroom resources, videos, downloadable activities, and curriculum-linked learning materials designed to support Djaa lessons and planning. Teachers can also use the collections to build their own classroom activities, research tasks, creative projects, yarning circles, and cross-curriculum learning experiences — with confidence that the content is culturally informed, educational, and connected to authentic community knowledge.

Possum Skin covering

Possum skin coverings are traditional garments made from the tanned skins of possums. These coverings were worn for warmth and protection, as well as for ceremonial purposes. The skins are carefully stitched together, sometimes adorned with markings or patterns that reflect personal or cultural stories. These coverings are an important symbol of cultural identity, connection to the land, and the teachings passed down through generations.
