Djaa is designed to support teachers step by step. Teachers can first read the Teacher Guide to understand how the game and classroom resources work together, then download lesson plans, worksheets, task cards, and follow-up activities from the Teacher Dashboard.

Students then play the Djaa game, watch real cultural videos, complete in-game challenges, and explore cultural learning through bush tucker, artefacts, animals, maps, stories, and cultural concepts. After gameplay, teachers can extend the learning through recount worksheets, yarning circles, group discussions, outdoor exploration, and real-life activities that help students connect the game back to Country, culture, and classroom learning.

Teachers can also use the Djaa online video library and cultural resource sections to build their own learning outcomes, inquiry tasks, and lesson ideas suited to their class needs. Schools are encouraged to take the learning beyond the screen by exploring their own school grounds and local environment — identifying plants, natural materials, animals, cultural items, and spaces that can help students build a deeper understanding of Country, sustainability, traditional knowledge, and connection to place.
